January 31st, Garth and I moved out of the abandoned church on St. Louis st. This is the empty church pew bed in the corner where our collapsible christmas tree used to be. The is the empty desk where I would sit and paint and we'd watch our one channel of network television. This is the note we left for the next squatter along with fourteen cents. The organ downstairs... A corner closet with deserted bibles...
We rented a uhaul so we wouldn't have to move our stuff on bikes. On the way to the church, we found a cushionless couch on the side of the road and picked it up. Later, we found a loveseat in our neighborhood and took its cushions. This is the front of our buildning: 3206 1st street This is the back, where apartment D is located.
This is our neighbor, Many Cheatum. I don't know what it is or if it really even exists. That's me with a wire in front of my face. That's the view from our back porch.
This is our fence, complete with razor-wire. These are the stairs to our second floor apartment. That's the door with it's barred gate. That's me on the landing.
 Sarah unlocking the door...
 The living room...
We have to fold up our bed during the day in order to have room to walk between it and the couch... Our desk lamp (my photographic tendencies are wearing off on Garth)... The scarf on our desk lamp... Cushionless couch... My paintings get to hang on a wall now... The view out the living room window... A weird shawl we found in the secret room in the church... we used it for a window curtain. the kitchen with broken fridge and broken oven... The Bathroom... Our fabulous green family dollar curtain we hung with fishing line because we didn't want to pay $8 for a rod...
