Up one level
Ed & Garth: Ed gave us a ride almost all the way from St. Louis to New Orleans in a big orange semi truck My jeans Mississippi River: End of Canal Street: New Orleans, LA Boat passing on the Mississippi River Fenced area around a cell phone tower: We set up our one-and-a-half man tent here and slept in it every nite for the first week we spent in town: We called this the Plaza Tower Sarah: Plaza Tower: New Orleans, LA We spent days walking around downtown: This graffitti is all over all of the buildings: The artist covers tags with grey paint and leaves this silly conversation bubble Locals hate him and want him dead We also spent time laying around in a park that was covered in shit because people walked their dogs in it all the time. We called it dog shit park. It had old people. Fountain By the Mississippi River at the end of Canal Street: We spent time sitting around here too. This man from Alabama Saw us sleeping on a bench by the fountain and gave us forty dollars. We also took the free ferry to Algiers. There was nothing worth mentioning there. Except a good view of the NOLA skyline. We wandered around destroyed neighborhoods and crept about in flooded out houses. This is a bedroom inside one of them. This is a living room. And a kitchen. Every morning at four-thirty, we woke up and walked two miles to labor ready to try and get jobs for the day and make some money. We never got any. We just sat on the floor Looking like bums.
